Collection: Heirloom Seeds
Heirloom seeds are varieties that have been grown and passed down for decades — often 50 years or more. Some gardeners use the benchmark of “pre–World War II,” but the heart of it is the same: these are long‑loved varieties that have stood the test of time in real gardens.
Because heirloom seeds are open‑pollinated, they’ll grow true to type, meaning you can save seed from your plants and expect the next generation to look and taste much like the parent. For growers who enjoy seed saving or want to keep traditional varieties going, heirlooms are a brilliant choice.
We’ve stocked heirloom varieties at Collie Flowers from the very beginning, but after lots of requests from our community, we created a dedicated heirloom category in July 2024 to make them easier to find.
If you’re looking for reliable, characterful varieties with a bit of history behind them, heirloom seeds are a lovely place to start.
