White Sprouting Broccoli ‘White Eye’
Approx. 50 seeds.
A hardy, reliable sprouting broccoli producing tender white spears in late winter and early spring. ‘White Eye’ overwinters strongly and crops generously when little else is ready, making it one of the most valuable vegetables for the hungry gap. Harvest regularly to prevent plants running to seed, and pick the central spear first to encourage a flush of productive side shoots.
Sow thinly in modules or trays of moist compost, cover lightly, and keep somewhere bright and frost‑free until established. Plant deeply for stability at around 60cm apart, and protect with netting or fleece to prevent damage from birds and insects. Thrives in sun or semi‑shade and grows to around 60cm tall.
