Thyme is a decorative, low‑growing herb with a wonderfully aromatic flavour, perfect for adding depth to a wide range of dishes. It pairs especially well with chicken and is one of the classic ingredients in a traditional bouquet garni.
Plants produce masses of pretty pink flowers that are highly attractive to bees, making thyme as valuable for pollinators as it is in the kitchen. It grows to around 40cm tall and is ideal for borders, containers, herb gardens and sunny paths where you’ll brush past it and release its scent.
