Tatsoi is an exceptionally hardy leafy green, capable of withstanding temperatures as low as –10°C — it can even be harvested from beneath a blanket of snow. This resilient plant is a brilliant spinach substitute, producing generous yields of fresh, tender leaves throughout winter and for much of the year.
It often performs better in autumn than in spring, making it a fantastic choice for extending the season. Tatsoi thrives in a greenhouse or polytunnel, where it will keep you supplied with reliable greens right through the colder months.
