Sweetcorn, Northern Extra Sweet

Sweetcorn ‘Northern Extra Sweet’ (how could I resist a variety with this name!) is a brilliantly early Super Sweet variety, bred especially for cooler northern gardens. It produces long, well‑filled cobs with around 14 neat rows of golden kernels, often reaching up to 20cm and filled right to the tip.

Reliable, adaptable and packed with flavour, it performs beautifully across the UK but really shines in shorter seasons where other sweetcorns can struggle. Best eaten fresh for the fullest sweetness and crunch.
