Unlike their annual cousins, Lathyrus latifolia are perennial sweet peas — long‑lived, reliable and full of charm. Collie Flowers’ ‘Newland Pink Mix’ is harvested from a cherished cluster of plants known to be at least 30 years old, continuing a line that has scrambled and flowered beautifully for decades.
Everlasting sweet peas are grown much like annual sweet peas, with one key difference: at the end of the season simply cut them back to ground level, lifting and dividing clumps if needed. Once established, they return year after year.
A vigorous, unscented perennial climber, they look lovely tumbling over a sunny wall, weaving through a hedge or threading their way through shrubs. Young plants will need tying in at first, but soon become self‑supporting as they grow.
