Beetroot ‘Boltardy’
Standard pack: 150 seeds.
Probably the most popular choice for early sowing, thanks to its excellent resistance to bolting and reliable performance in cooler conditions. It produces medium‑sized, globe‑shaped roots with a superb deep red colour and no internal rings. Its outstanding quality is reflected in its RHS Award of Garden Merit, making it a trusted favourite for home growers.
Plants reach around 45cm tall and germination is quick, with seedlings often appearing in as little as 5–7 days in warm soil. ‘Boltardy’ is a steady, dependable cropper throughout the season and is ideal for successional sowing to keep a continuous supply of tender roots.
