Aubergine ‘Moneymaker’ F1

An early‑maturing, high‑yielding variety that produces glossy black, semi‑long fruits with a deep purple calyx and excellent flavour. One of its best qualities is that it lacks the bitterness found in some older aubergine types, making it a reliable choice for home growers and cooks alike.
Each plant can produce up to eight fruits, averaging around 100g each, and the plants are vigorous and productive throughout the season. ‘Moneymaker’ is well suited to UK conditions and is easier to grow than many people expect.
Aubergines can be grown successfully in Britain — in a greenhouse, polytunnel, grow bag, or even a large pot on a sunny, sheltered patio. Protect them from cool winds, give them warmth and consistent watering, and they’ll reward you with a generous crop.
