Radicchio, Pallo Rosso 3

Radicchio ‘Palla Rossa 3’ is a reliable, beautifully coloured variety, forming compact, uniform heads that can be harvested young as baby leaves or left to mature. The deepest red tones develop in cool autumn weather, giving dramatic contrast both in the garden and on the plate.

Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it’s a versatile, easy variety that thrives in containers, raised beds or tucked between other plants, even in partial shade. The flavour is tangy with a gentle sweetness when grown in cooler months. Not recommended for spring forcing.
