Perilla Shiso – Red & Green Mix
Approx. 50 seeds.
A beautifully aromatic herb with striking foliage in both deep burgundy and fresh green. Perilla Shiso has a unique flavour — somewhere between basil, mint and anise — making it a favourite in Japanese and Korean cooking. The red leaves bring colour and depth to salads, pickles and rice dishes, while the green type is bright, citrusy and perfect for garnishes, tempura and summer plates.
Easy to grow and surprisingly ornamental, Shiso thrives in full sun or light shade and produces generous leafy plants through summer. It’s excellent in containers, herb beds and edible borders, and the textured leaves add a lovely visual lift wherever they’re planted.
