Orlaya is an easy‑to‑grow annual that brings lightness and elegance to borders, with delicate fern‑like foliage and clusters of pure white flowers that resemble miniature lace‑cap hydrangeas. It weaves beautifully through other plants, filling gaps quickly without overwhelming its neighbours, and it flowers over a long season — often right up to the first frosts.
It’s also a brilliant choice for wildlife gardens, as hoverflies and other beneficial insects are especially drawn to its airy blooms. For the earliest displays, sow Orlaya seed in autumn and overwinter young plants in a cold frame before planting out in spring.
