Eschscholtzia, Jelly Bean

Eschscholtzia (California Poppy) ‘Jelly Bean’ produces full double blooms in a vibrant mix of colours, shimmering above soft, feathery blue‑green foliage. Dainty in appearance but surprisingly tough, these hardy annuals thrive in poor, dry soils where many other flowers struggle.

The papery blooms are rich in nectar, attracting bees and hoverflies, and they make lovely — if short‑lived — cut flowers. California poppies are wonderfully easy to grow in beds and borders, or you can let them self‑seed through gravel gardens to create natural, effortless drifts year after year.
