Echinacea purpurea (Purple Coneflower) is a real showstopper when planted in generous clumps, producing large purple‑red blooms with bold orange centres. Strong, architectural and full of colour, it brings long‑lasting interest to borders from midsummer into early autumn.
Highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, this drought‑tolerant perennial is also an excellent cut flower, with sturdy stems and long‑lasting blooms. Plants reach around 90–100cm tall and flower reliably from June to September, adding height, texture and movement to wildlife‑friendly gardens.
