Dill ‘Hera’ is a late‑bolting, high‑leaf‑mass variety with a stiff, upright habit and rich dark blue‑green foliage. It’s an excellent choice for anyone who wants abundant leaves over a long season, especially in the kitchen garden.
Dill is an easy, rewarding herb to grow, producing soft, ferny foliage with a sweet, fresh, fennel‑like flavour. The leaves are at their best in spring and summer, before plants send up tall umbels of tiny yellow flowers — which are edible too, along with the aromatic seeds. Use the leaves in fish and egg dishes, chop them into soups and salads, or add them to homemade pickles for that classic dill flavour.
