Digitalis ‘Foxy’ is a compact, dwarf foxglove that’s ideal for more exposed areas, as it copes far better with breezy conditions than taller varieties. A hardy biennial, it can even be grown as an annual if sown early in the year (February–March), giving you flowers in the first season.
This lovely variety produces a soft blend of pink and white blooms, all rich in nectar and loved by bees, butterflies and other pollinators. The stems also make excellent cut flowers for bringing indoors. Because the seeds are very fine, they’re best sown with care — if growing in containers, water from below to avoid washing them to the edges.
Lightly sweet‑scented and full of charm, ‘Foxy’ is a brilliant choice for cottage‑style borders and wildlife‑friendly gardens.
