Our mixed cornflowers have been selected to give you a perfect sweep of colour — from deep purples and rich azures to the softest pinks. They’re brilliant for adding movement and brightness to borders, meadows and cutting patches, and they’re adored by bees and other pollinators.
Cornflowers are wonderfully easy wildflowers to grow. Even with minimal attention, they’ll reward you with blooms from late spring right through to early autumn, especially if you make a double sowing — once in autumn for early flowers, and again in spring for a longer display.
For best results, grow in full sun and moist but well‑drained soil. The wiry stems may need a little support in exposed spots. Deadhead regularly to keep the flowers coming, but allow some blooms to set seed towards autumn — the dried seedheads provide valuable food for birds and often self‑seed gently for the following year.
