Chilli, Cayenne Long Slim Red

Long Slim Red Cayenne is one of the best‑known mild‑to‑medium chillies, producing long, slender fruits that ripen from green to a deep, glossy red in around 120 days. Plants are generous croppers, often dripping with fruit by late summer.

The chillies can be used fresh or dried, making them a brilliant all‑rounder for the kitchen. They dry particularly well strung up in a warm spot, giving you a winter supply for soups, sauces and homemade chilli flakes.

A naturally elegant plant, it makes a real spectacle in a greenhouse or on a sunny patio, with its upright habit and clusters of bright red fruit. Regular picking encourages even heavier cropping.
