Also known as cutting or soup celery, is a darker, leafier form of celery with slender stalks and a strong, peppery flavour. The leaves make a brilliant accent in soups, stews, stocks and savoury dishes, offering far more aroma than standard celery.
We recommend starting it indoors rather than direct sowing, as seedlings are small and slow at first. Once established, it’s an easy and rewarding crop, provided it receives regular watering — consistent moisture is essential throughout the summer to keep plants healthy and productive.
