Celery ‘Golden Self Blanching’
Standard pack: 200 seeds.
Produces yellow‑green stalks with a milder flavour than ‘Giant White’, but with far less work involved. As a self‑blanching type, it naturally develops crisp, pale stems without the need for earthing up, making it a brilliant choice for busy or first‑time celery growers. Plants are typically ready from August onwards.
Celery is a versatile kitchen staple, delicious eaten raw for its sweet crunch, but equally good braised, added to casseroles or used as a base for soups and stocks. This variety performs best with steady watering and rich soil, rewarding you with uniform, tender stems.
