Beetroot ‘Barbabietola di Chioggia’ is a much‑loved Italian heirloom dating back to the 1840s, known for its striking pink‑and‑white rings when sliced. The roots have a mild, sweet flavour and cook more quickly than many traditional beetroot varieties, making them ideal for roasting, pickling or adding colour and interest to salads.
Plants reach around 30cm tall and are easy to grow in most garden soils, producing smooth, round roots with reliable uniformity. This variety is also suitable for freezing, allowing you to preserve your harvest for use later in the year. Sow little and often for a steady supply through the season.
Standard pack: 100 seeds.
