Alyssum ‘Royal Carpet’

One of the most reliable and easy edging plants you can grow. Its low, spreading habit allows it to weave beautifully between other flowers, softening the edges of borders, paths and containers.
‘Royal Carpet’ produces masses of tiny violet‑purple blooms, creating a rich, scented carpet that’s perfect for filling gaps or sowing between paving stones. It stays very compact, reaching only 7–8cm tall, making it ideal for small spaces and front‑of‑border planting.
Quick to germinate and simple to grow, Alyssum (botanically now called Lobularia) thrives in full sun and well‑drained soil, and flowers over a long season. It’s a great choice for beginners or anyone wanting fast, reliable colour.
